Photos without a JSON, and a clean year/month layout
A few files in most exports have no matching JSON – or the JSON ended up in a zip part you didn’t download. Rollmend still finds a date for most of them and sorts everything into tidy folders.
Fallback order
- A date in the file name:
IMG_20190812_153045,PXL_20200101_235959123,Screenshot_2019-05-12-12-34-56,IMG-20190512-WA0001,2019-05-12 12.34.56… - A date already inside the file (EXIF or video header) – kept as it is
- Nothing: the file goes to
Unknown date/so it doesn’t end up on a wrong day
“JSON without a photo”
The report also lists JSON files whose photo is missing. That usually means a zip part is missing from your selection – select all takeout-*.zip parts together.
Output layout
- Year / Month (default):
2019/07/IMG_0005.jpg - Year:
2019/IMG_0005.jpg - One folder: everything together
- Name collisions get “ (2)”; cut-off names are restored from the JSON title when it’s safe
Questions and answers
Where is the CSV report?
Inside the output zip (Rollmend-report.csv) and as a separate download from the scan report.
